Friday 29th April 2011 - The Wedding of HRH Prince William and Kate Middleton
To mark the Royal Wedding, we hosted a village street party. The road around the village green was closed and tables and chairs set up in the road. Around 200 villagers and many of our customers from further afield came to join the party.
On Wednesday 21st September, 2011 Jonathan Scarfe of Field, Morris and Verdin joined us for our second winemaker’s dinner in association with Vin-Est wine merchants of Lechlade.
On the evening of Tuesday 23rd February 2010, locals came to the Swan to support this appeal for the victims of the Haiti disaster.
Southrop Village Fête takes place on Saturday 12th June and this years’ event has a “country” theme.
We had a fantastic turnout to see in the New Year at The Swan and hope everyone enjoyed themselves. The restaurant was full and the bar was packed all night, which created a tremendous atmosphere. After dinner The Stone Saloon, a four piece band played covers from the finest rock bands of the last 3 decades with great expertise had everyone on their feet dancing in the skittle alley until the early hours.

On the evening of Sunday 8th November 2009, we handed the Swan over for the annual village Remembrance Day Auction. The evening consists of an auction of donated items in the skittle alley followed by a light meal. The event was extremely well supported by the village and others and raised a large amount of money for the Poppey Appeal.
